Net Work is an incubator for collaboration.
Teams made up of one composer, one performer, and one video artist will work together to conceive of a work from start to finish. While the events of 2020 have created unprecedented creative challenges, we believe that these challenges provide opportunities for invention. Net Work is an exploration of those hidden opportunities; a virtual collaboration that discovers and contributes new creative models and forms. There is no application fee, and each selected artist will receive a $600 stipend.

FAQs
I’m an individual artist, and I don’t know a [insert: composer/video artist/performer]! Can I apply by myself?
Yes! Individual applications are encouraged and welcome (we expect most applications to come from individuals). If you are selected, Tetractys will connect you with two other selected artists to make a complete team.
We’re already a team of collaborating artists! Can we apply together?
Yes! There is a place in the application where you can connect your application to any requested collaborators. No preference will be given to teams over individual applicants. However, all members of your team must submit a separate application.
Is there an application fee?
No, applying to Net Work is 100% free. In the application, we give you an opportunity to make a donation which serves purely to buy us coffee while we go through the applications. Whether or not you make a donation will have no bearing on the outcome of your application.
Does this project cost money?
No! In fact we’re going to pay each artist $600 if you are selected.
Do I need any special equipment to apply?
No! In the application we ask for an introduction video and a few work samples. The video doesn’t have to be anything fancy, something from your phone or webcam will work great. We just want to get a sense of who you are and how you might collaborate with others.
How and when will I know if I’m selected for this project?
The application deadline is December 15, 2020. Decisions will be communicated in the first two weeks of January, 2021, and teams will be announced January 15, 2021.
