HBM is a two-day music festival designed to reveal and celebrate the unique culture and identity of Austin's indie-classical artists and creators.

Venue: Radio East, 3504 Montopolis Dr, Austin, TX 78744.

Tetractys Presents: Laura Cocks in Concert

Tetractys New Music is proud to present NYC flutist Laura Cocks in a solo show featuring music written by some of the most exciting composers in the new music community.

Laura Cocks is a flutist with “febrile instrumental prowess” (The New York Times), who works in a wide array of environments as a performer of experimental music and “creates intricate, spellbinding works that have a visceral physicality to them” (Foxy Digitalis). 

She is the Executive Director and flutist of TAK ensemble “one of the most prominent ensembles in the United States practicing truly experimental music” (I Care If You Listen) with whom Laura makes musics "that combine crystalline clarity with the disorienting turbulence of a sonic vortex.” (WIRE Magazine).

Tetractys Presents: NET WORK 2021

NET WORK is an incubator for collaboration. Three teams made up of one composer, one performer, and one video artist have worked together over the past 15 weeks to conceive a work from start to finish. While the events of 2020 have created unprecedented creative challenges, we believe that these challenges provide opportunities for invention. NET WORK is an exploration of those hidden opportunities; a virtual collaboration that discovers and contributes new creative models and forms. These are the 2021 NET WORK projects.

Called “contemporary chamber trailblazers” by the Boston Globe, Hub New Music — composed of flute, clarinet, violin, and cello — is forging new pathways in 21st-century repertoire. In recent seasons, HNM’s performances have been described as “gobsmacking” (Cleveland Classical), “innovative” (WBUR), and “the cutting edge of new classical music” (Taos News).

Tetractys x Golden Hornet

Golden Hornet's Young Composer Concert invites Austin-area youth ages 12–18 to compose original pieces of music with the guidance of a professional mentor and as part of a collective production team. A professional ensemble then performs student pieces, with the participant work reaching new audiences—such as those listening to KMFA and KUTX

For 2018, we are collaborating with the Austin Symphony and 250 other artists to celebrate the great Leonard Bernstein through Bernstein 100 Austin

Students selected to participate will receive various benefits for their contributions. The third annual rendition of this concert will take place on March 25, 2018.
